About the Role
Azure Cloud Engineer (Migration & DevOps) 📄 Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Direct Payroll) We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in cloud migration, DevOps, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end migration initiatives and build scalable, secure cloud environments on Microsoft Azure. 🔹 Key Responsibilities Cloud & Azure Infrastructure Work extensively with Azure services including compute, storage, and networking components such as VMs, VMSS, Load Balancers, NSGs, Firewalls, Route Tables, and Private DNS. Design, build, configure, and validate Azure Landing Zones aligned with enterprise standards. Deploy and integrate applications using Azure SDK services like Key Vault, Storage, and Service Bus. Cloud Migration Lead end-to-end migration initiatives from on-premises or AWS to Azure. Utilize Azure Migrate for discovery, dependency mapping, replication, and cutover activities. Implement migration strategies such as re-host, re-platform, and re-architect. Develop and manage migration playbooks, tools, and frameworks. Containers & Kubernetes Build and manage containerized applications using Docker (image creation, optimization, registry management). Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Work with Kubernetes core concepts including pods, deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, and autoscaling. Create and maintain Kubernetes YAML manifests and Helm charts. DevOps & Automation Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (preferred), GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD. Manage repositories, branching strategies, and governance using Git. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates. Automate workflows using PowerShell, Shell/Bash scripting, and Azure Policy. Ensure secure pipelines, secrets management, and compliance standards. Monitoring, Integration & Advanced Capabilities Integrate AKS with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Key Vault, and Azure Container Registry (ACR). Work with services like Azure API Management, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Managed Instance. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance across cloud environments. AI & Emerging Technologies (Preferred) Understand AI agent lifecycle management and AI Gateway integrations. Design human–AI interaction workflows. Implement automation using Agentic-AI frameworks (preferred).
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications 6–8 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure modernization, or cloud migration. Strong expertise in Azure services including Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity (Entra ID), Monitoring, and Security. Proven experience leading end-to-end cloud migration projects (discovery → assessment → execution → validation). Strong experience in Azure Landing Zone architecture, governance, and security frameworks. Hands-on experience with Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and Database Migration Service. Expertise in Azure DevOps for pipeline implementation, automation, and lifecycle management. Strong experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based, gated validations). Ability to troubleshoot complex pipeline, build, and release issues. Advanced knowledge of Terraform (modules, state management, versioning, lifecycle). Experience with Git workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based development, pull requests). Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Shell scripting for automation. Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, RBAC, tagging, and cost optimization. 🔹 Educational Qualifications BE / BTech / BCA / BSc (IT) / MCA / MBA (IT) / MSc (IT) 🔹 Experience 6–8 years of relevant experience in Azure Migration and DevOps
